The Evolution of Luxury
In early September, PriestmanGoode sponsored the inaugural RedCabin Business Jet and VIP Interior Innovation Summit. Creative Colour, Material and Finish Lead Kate Montgomery hosted a workshop titled The Evolution of Luxury. The session brought together industry professionals to examine the evolving definition of luxury within the private aircraft sector.
The workshop offered attendees insights into the key trends shaping the future of luxury, focusing on three main areas:
- Future Luxury Traveller Priorities: Through detailed persona analysis, participants explored the unique needs and expectations of various luxury travellers, from tech entrepreneurs to conscious consumers and dignitaries. This session highlighted the importance of personalised experiences tailored to diverse lifestyles.
- The Role of Technology in Luxury: The discussion centred on how cutting-edge technologies can enhance the onboard experience, replicating the high standards of comfort and innovation found in other luxury environments.
- Sustainability Meets Luxury: The final activity emphasised the need to balance luxury with environmental responsibility. Participants worked together to identify solutions that reduce environmental impact while maintaining the level of quality expected by future travellers.
In addition to the workshop, PriestmanGoode showcased an embroidered piece born from a collaborative process with London Embroidery Studio. This unique exhibition piece introduced our Private Studio to attendees and highlighted the valuable relationships PriestmanGoode has built with material suppliers across the world. During its development, the team explored dozens of embroidery techniques, from goldwork to beadwork, ultimately drawing inspiration from the guilloché technique pioneered by Fabergé. The result was a luxurious, contemporary creation that reflected the fusion of tradition and modern craftsmanship—perfectly suited to the VIP Interiors event hosted by RedCabin.
PriestmanGoode’s participation at RedCabin proved to be an insightful and valuable experience, offering a great opportunity to engage with industry professionals and explore the future of luxury in aviation.
